Three teachers. One dream.

Amy Jackson, James Laszlo, and Kristine Deisman had 18 years of combined tutoring experience when the dream of IQ Tutoring began. All three were busy post-secondary students working part time at established tutoring companies to help fund their educational careers. Though all loved working with their students, they were continually frustrated with the poor communication from their coordinators and felt they lacked access to resources that would greatly help their students and in addition increase their own teaching skills.

IQ Tutoring was founded on the belief that by providing extensive support to quality tutors this would allow for students to learn and excel in their academic endeavours. While each tutor enters the company with significant background knowledge of the subject that they teach, IQ Tutoring allows them to further their teaching skills by providing extensive academic resources. Each tutor has access to our resource library stocked with current Alberta Board of Education curriculum materials and in addition attends our regular seminars in order to upgrade their teaching abilities. Evaluations are requested from each client every academic semester in order for us to further work with each tutor on improving their educational approach.
